Infant Toddler Programs - CKW YMCA

Infant Toddler Programs

Infant Girl

Infant Care | Birth to 18 months

Our infant programs place importance on providing for the infant's individual needs in a secure, loving and stimulating environment. Social, emotional and physical development is fostered through active exploration, sensory, and musical experiences. Our infants enjoy outdoor experiences through outdoor play and/or community walks. Staff ratio is 1 staff to 3 infants, and is maintained at all times as per Ontario Regulations.

Toddler Boy

Toddler Care | 18 months to 2.5 years

Our toddler programs encourage children to actively explore their environment with a hands-on approach that stimulates natural learning. The continual enhancement of social, emotional and physical development is a major focus. Toddlers enjoy outdoor play experiences in the morning and afternoon daily. Staff ratio is 1 staff to 5 toddlers.

Note: Reduced ratios may occur during periods of arrival and departure of children, and during the rest period as per Ontario Regulations.

Fees - New fee schedule is effective January 2020.

Fees are calculated monthly based on registered days of care. There is no reduction of fees for illness, statutory holidays or unexpected closures due to inclement weather as your child's spot is still being maintained.  Fees are paid via preauthorized payment agreements with credit card or cheque options.

Subsidy - All YMCA Child Care centres have a Purchase of Service Agreement with the Region of Waterloo Child Care Division enabling them to register families who receive financial assistance.

Withdrawal or change to Child's Schedule - YMCA Child Care requires one month written notice for a permanent withdrawal from care or change in care requirements. Full program fees will be levied if sufficient notice is not given.

Menu - YMCA Child Care serves two snacks and a nutritious lunch each day.  Our centres have a 4 week menu rotation that is updated twice per year.  We work closely with parents to support children through the introduction of new foods and other specific feeding needs.  We are committed to nurturing the body with carefully planned well balanced meals in accordance with Canada's food guide
