Facility Features


The Stork Family YMCA opened in September 2011.   The building is an open concept facility filled by natural light due to the number of windows throughout and is shared with the John M. Harper Library.  It is a building in our community that provides a place for families, adults and youth to be active in mind, body and spirit.   

Facility Features Include:

Conditioning Centre (15 yrs+)  

A large, bright, full service conditioning centre that includes a variety of cardio equipment that have individual tvs,  weight training equipment and complimented by a free weight and large stretching area.

Rubberized Free Weight Area (15 yrs+) 

A separate area for those wishing to train with heavier weights, features dumbbells to 100 lbs, Olympic Bench Press stations, and all plate loaded equipment.


Full size gymnasium, with 3 badminton courts, 1 volleyball court, 6 basketball hoops with sprung hardwood flooring. Enjoy a wide range of recreational sports and activities for all ages, fitness classes and programs for the whole family.

Aquatic Centre includes 2 pools 

4-1/2 lane, 25 meter pool for lane swim, swimming lessons, aquafit and aquatic programming

A second warmer leisure pool with accessibility ramp, whirlpool access and water features


Indoor track with rubberized surface. 12 laps equals 1 KM.


A large studio, with hardwood, sprung flooring.

Squash & Racquetball Courts 

Squash and racquetball courts at the Kitchener and Cambridge locations.

Change Rooms

Membership Plus 

Adult only (18+) change room that Includes towel service and steam room with day use lockers. 

General Membership 

Large, bright change area with day use lockers.

Family / Special Needs 

For Moms with sons and Dads with daughters 4-9 years of age. Also available for members with special needs requiring assistance from a caregiver.
