Homework Help (Ages 13+) 

Offered at: A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA (Kitchener), and Chaplin Family YMCA (Cambridge) 

Need some help studying for a test? Not sure if you have answered everything for an assignment? Want someone to help edit your work? The YMCA of Three Rivers Youth Programs offers homework help provided by our incredible Youth Workers throughout the school year. 

Just Hangin’ Out (Ages 13-21) 

Offered at: Chaplin Family YMCA (Cambridge)

The Just Hangin’ Out program is designed to provide a safe & inclusive place where youth (age 13-21) with varying ability levels can interact with their peers, practice positive social skills & develop life skills. The program includes recreation opportunities, hands on learning, interactive activities & personal development with emphasis on Character Building, Health & Well-being and Life Skills. 

LGBTQ2S+ (Ages 13-17) 

Offered at: Chaplin Family YMCA (Cambridge) 

The program will be focusing on development, meeting youth needs, inclusion & having fun with peers! 

Moving Black Lives Forward (Ages 13-21) 

Offered at: A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA (Kitchener) 

A 14-week program providing a safe space for Black Youth age 13-21, to develop awareness, preparedness & wellness within themselves & their community. The program focuses on topics such as wellness &selfcare, leadership development, financial literacy, civic duties, legal rights, education, entrepreneurship & career development. 

Newcomer Youth (Ages 13-21) 

Offered at: Various locations across Waterloo Region, including: A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA (Kitchener), Chaplin Family YMCA (Cambridge), and Stork Family YMCA (Waterloo)

BREAK DOWN CULTURAL BARRIERS! Our Newcomer Youth Program is offered for youth age 13 - 21 to make connections, practice English language, share ideas & have FUN with amazing leaders & peers. The Newcomer Youth programming empowers youth who have recently arrived in Canada, with the knowledge & tools to successfully integrate & settle into Canadian society. 

Teenage Parents Program (Ages 14-21) 

Offered at: Guelph Y 

TAPPS is a free program that offers a safe, non-judgmental place where pregnant & parenting teens (age 14-21) can find a sense of belonging & grow as parents. We provide recreation activities, moral support & resources for teen parents. TAPPs is an ongoing program & available to join at any time. We offer programs throughout the week focusing on child development, nutrition, managing stress, birth control, budgeting, healthy relationships, behaviour management, etc.
