Do you want a motivational program that focuses on physical activity, discipline and control?

Check out one of our martial arts programs. All martial arts classes are free with a membership however there are some optional costs within each program that should be considered.  These costs will be explained in greater detail on the first day.  Optional uniforms may be purchased through the instructors

Adult Aikido

Aikido is a Japanse martial arts form that is non-martial in outlook. Purley defensive, students are taught how to take the energy from an agreesive opponent and use it to get to safety. Coordinate your mind and body while increasing your fitness level.

Adult Judo

Judo is a traditional form of martial arts that focuses on grappling and throwing techniques with discipline and structure. Excellent for beginners, intermediate and advanced participants.

Adult Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean art form that focuses on the conditioning of the body with emphasis on flexibility that enables students to learn and develop the Tae Kwon Do martial arts system. Students will learn hand and foot techniques, patterns, self-defense and sparring.

What do I wear?

A: Comfortable clothing without any details, buttons or zippers. Remove all jewelry and earrings.

How do I purchase a uniform?

A: All uniforms can be purchased through the instructors.  

Who are the instructors?

A: All of our instructors are volunteers with the YMCA. They all hold a black belt in their discipline.  

What is your attendance policy?

A: For maximum success, 100% attendance is recommended for the program. Sessions are open access and free with your membership. 

What is your testing policy?

A: Each martial art form has their own policies and timing around testing. Notifications will given regarding upcoming test dates and associated fees for belts.
