FAQs for Members of Stork Family YMCA, Chaplin Family YMCA and A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA

We are continuing to work hard to be ready for you as soon as we are able to safely re-open our spaces. We are following government guidelines for Reopening the Province, which states that gyms and fitness facilities are included in Stage 3. Since our Region is currently in Stage 2 of this plan, we continue to remain closed to members. We're adding more virtual content each week, so please continue to stay connected to us and each other online.

Opening for Day Camps on July 6th, Still Closed for Members: A few weeks ago we got the green light from our provincial government that as part of Stage 2 of Ontario's Reopening plan, day camps are able to run, with certain safety restrictions in place. Our teams never stopped planning for this and starting on Monday, we're proud to be able still provide day camp options for families in our community. We will be utilizing our centres across Waterloo Region to safely provide day camp programs and we still remain closed for members.

We’ve established key principles to guide how and when we will reactivate YMCA programs and services, driven by our commitment to your safety and that of our valued staff and volunteers. We will ensure our facilities meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety, including modifying programs and facility spaces to maintain safe physical distancing. 

We look forward to sharing the details for reopening as soon as we can! Until then, you can enjoy your favourite workouts and activities for all ages at your Virtual YMCA.

Please note all membership fees remain on hold. We will provide updates in the future regarding fee reactivation in advance, along with our reopening details. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
