Learn to Cope with Stress & Anxiety

Are you experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety or stress? Join the YMCA's Y Mind Youth program. It is a FREE seven-week mental wellness program for people ages 13-18 (Teen)  18 to 30 (Youth). It's delivered by the YMCA of Three Rivers and our community partners.

Y Mind Teen

Y MIND Teens (13-18)

Our free Y Mind Teen Program offers support to ages 13-18, for those who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or stress.  Y Mind participants learn evidence-based coping skills based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and self-compassion, and connect with peers who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings.

Step 3: Participate in program for 7 weeks, learn new tools to cope with stress, and have fun! 

**Our next session will be offered online and will run Sundays  12-1:30pm beginning January 8th

Program Details:

  • Free, seven-week program for those experiencing mild-to-moderate stress & anxiety.

  • Each session is 1.5 hours long and is offered one evening a week, for seven weeks.

  • Must be available to attend all seven sessions.

  • Attendance at one information session or zoom call with a staff member is required to sign up.

Y MIND Youth (18-30)


Our free Y Mind Youth program offer support to age groups 18 -30, for those who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or stress. Y Mind participants learn evidence-based coping skills based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and self-compassion, and connect with peers who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings.

Program Details:

  • Each session is 2 hours long and is offered one evening a week, for seven weeks.

  • Next session will be offered at Kitchener Public Library (Queen St) on Tuesday 6:30-830pm beginning January 31st, 2023.
  • Must be available to attend all seven sessions.

  • Attendance at one of the information nights required to sign up.
