Shade’s Mills

Shade's Mills has been called the best-kept secret in Cambridge. This Y Camp is a short drive away from Hespeler Road and the 401, and stems off of the newly renovated Franklin Road. Just down the road you will find the Chaplin Family YMCA and the Cambridge Centre Mall.  Connecting with nature and unplugging from technology is easy with a with beautiful forested areas for nature exploration, hikes and critter observation.  Mill Creek provides an ideal fishing location for Sunfish and Frog catching.  Develop the nature lover within your child.  Washroom facilities with flushing toilets and running water on site.

Camp Conestogo – Guelph Lake

Camp Conestogo Day Camp is located just on the outskirts of the City of Guelph at beautiful Guelph Lake, as well just a short drive from Fergus and Rockwood. Camp Conestogo’s large property is directly on the lake and includes a sandy beach front, designated swimming area and has a canoe/kayaking program that all campers get to enjoy. The site also includes a very large, forested area which houses our low ropes course, and allows campers to go on nature hikes, play forest games and is home to the campfire pit where campers learn how to cook on the fire and build campfires. At Camp Conestogo campers will participate in traditional camp activities such as field games, arts/crafts, songs, drama games, outdoor sports and more. Every day at camp has a different theme to make your campers experience all summer one of a kind!

Belwood Days

Belwood Days shares a sunny and lively 3-acre site with their Overnight camp friends, making this the perfect place to build a sense of community and build lasting connections.  Located in Fergus, on Belwood Lake just across from the GRCA, it is a short drive from Guelph and Waterloo.  This site offers a great introduction to all traditional camp activities and can be a wonderful transition into overnight camp.  The lake provides an ideal spot for learning to kayak and canoe, while the pool provides a refreshing break for those who prefer a more familiar swimming space.   Additionally, the open and wide array of activities on land ensures you can find “something for everyone” at Belwood Days.  Washroom facilities with flushing toilets and running water on site.

Camp Heidelberg

This beautiful 73-acre site is located just minutes outside of Waterloo.  Camp Heidelberg is a fantastic place to play, explore, build new skills and develop lifelong friendships. Connecting with nature is a given in the hardwood forest –building shelters, playing games and exploring natural habitats in the cedar swamp and wetlands area.  A small, freshwater pond is a great place for campers to learn to kayak.  Washroom facilities with running flushing toilets and running water on site.

Camp Ki-Wa-Y Days

Ki-Wa-Y Days shares a fielded and forested, 77-acre site with their Overnight camp friends. Located in St. Clements, on Paradise Lake it is a short drive from Waterloo and the St. Jacob’s Market. The Day Camp has its own home base tucked away at the top of camp, with its own large picnic shelter, field, gaga ball pit, and washrooms, but shares the other many attractions of the large site.  This site offers “something for everyone”; a beautiful lake for canoeing and swimming, a high ropes challenge course and climbing wall, an archery range, a large forest for nature exploration and many playing fields. A special place that is a great introduction to all traditional camp activities and can be a wonderful transition into overnight camp. Washroom facilities with flushing toilets and running water on site.

At the Y Camp

Recreational Summer Camp at your Local Family Y

YMCA-YWCA of Guelph- Youth Camp (Ages: 6-12)

Guelph’s ‘At the Y Camp’ at the offers a fun recreational day camp setting in the comfort of Guelph’s main YMCA building. Campers will have access to various locations within the Y building, including the Main gym, the pool, and Extreme Youth Zone (XYZ Room). Campers will spend part of their day enjoying the outdoors at nearby parks and occasionally near by splash pads. Every day at camp has programming based around a different theme; this will ensure your campers experience is unique and special each day. Campers will get to participate activities such as active games, sports, arts/crafts, science experiments, drama games, camper challenges and more! Camper will be swimming in the YMCA pool as a part of the camp program. This location encourages campers to try a little bit of everything, challenge themselves and connect with their peers.

YMCA-YWCA of Guelph - JK/SK Recreational Day Camp

Day camp will take place at the main Guelph YMCA building (130 Woodland Glen Drive) with the day camp entrance at the side of the building. Campers will have use of a variety of programs rooms within the Guelph Y, as well as outdoor play space and will visit a local park each day.  Camper cohorts will rotate through the program spaces to keep activities fresh and to ensure physical distancing can be achieved to keep our campers and staff are safe. Campers will also have an opportunity to use the Main Gym and the pool as part of the weekly schedule. Day Camp Staff are specifically trained Camp Counsellors, certified in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development, Standard First Aid & CPR-C, and have extensive camp training. 
* Spaces are very limited, early registration is strongly suggested for this program.

Chaplin Family YMCA

The camp will take place at the YMCA Building with the camp entrance at the back of the building and almost exclusive use to the back side of the building – The Jays Room, Preschool space, Hespeler Room, squash court, Youth Teen Drop in Area, and the outdoor play space. Cohorts will rotate through the spaces to keep activities fresh and to ensure physical distancing can be achieved to keep our campers and staff are safe.  We will offer all of the same great programing that your camper loves!

A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA

The same great camp experience offered in a slightly different way this summer. The camp will take place at the YMCA Building but will be almost exclusively held outdoors to ensure physical distancing can be achieved to keep our campers and staff safe.  We will offer all of the same great programing that your camper loves about day camp. The large fenced off play space, picnic pavilion and the back parking lot area will all be day camp space. This area will safely be marked and sectioned off from the general public and vehicle traffic. A large event tent will be set up for added shade.  Indoor spaces will be made available in inclement weather conditions.
