PA Day, March Break & Holiday Camps

Unfortunately, PA Day Camp will not be available at the YMCA Camp Ki-Wa-Y Outdoor Centre for the upcoming PA Day on November 19

Stay tuned for information about PA Days in January and June 2022 and March Break.

2020-2021 Day Camp Program Information

Times

9:00am-4:00pm

Drop-Off: Between 8:00-9:00am 
Pick-Up: Between 4:00-5:00pm 

Camper Families can sign up for a drop-off and pick-up times during registration 

 

Program Details 

  • Limited spaces available to maintain distance.
  • Masks will be worn at all times. Masks can be removed while sitting down eating and drinking at snacks or lunch.
  • All campers must bring their own lunch and 2 snacks and a refillable water bottle 
  • All campers and staff will be health screened upon arrival.
  • Small group sizes and 1:10 instructor to camper ratios. 
  • Program will run outdoors all day, with the exception of meals/hand washing, changing wet clothing, extreme inclement weather. 
  • Please dress appropriately for a day in the lakeland forest in a Canadian Spring!
    • Dress in layers
    • Wear or bring snow/slush pants and winter coats and rain boots, and don't forget hats and mittens
    • INDOOR ONLY shoes/slippers
    • Extra face mask(s)
    • Extra mittens/ gloves to keep hands warm and dry
    • A change of clothes (including extra socks and underwear -just in case)
    • An empty plastic bag/ grocery bag for wet clothes
  • ONLY ONE group can be inside at a time
  • Staggered lunches and snacks. We will sanitize in between groups. 

*PLEASE NOTE THAT TRANSPORTATION IS NOT AVAILABLE - PARENTS MUST DROP THEIR CAMPER OFF AT CAMP*

 

What will we be doing? 

Activities may include (weather permitting): High & Low ropes courses, rock wall, nature walks & games, outdoor education & survival skills, campfire building, nature craft, geocaching, archery, shelter building/ forest play, sports & active games, & playground time for our 4-5 year olds!

12:00-12:30pm Lunch (wash hands before & after)
12:30 Activity 3
1:30 Activity 4
2:30 Snack (wash hands before & after)
3:00 Activity 5
4:00-5:00pm Pick Up

 

Cancellation Policy 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, a penalty-free cancellation and a 100% refund of camp fees will be provided if required. Where possible, please provide at least 2 weeks notice to cancel your registration and/or fee assistance application so that we can fill your space and/or provide another family with the funding opportunity.

  • If a camper is showing symptoms of Covid-19 and we are notified before the start of camp, a 100% refund will be given
  • if a camper is showing symptoms of Covid-19 and we are notified during the scheduled week of camp, we will provide a partial refund according to the number of days attended in the week.
