The YMCA Outdoor Centre is offering a Wilderness First Aid course in conjunction with Wilderness Medical Associates Canada. The course is designed to introduce those involved in back country trips, and outdoor seasonal staff to back country medicine and wilderness medical protocols. Specifically designed for the unique demands of remote settings, the course will focus on three areas: Treatment of injuries in a wilderness setting, care giving in extreme environments and weather, and working with limited equipment and provisioning.
