Camp Ki-Wa-Y Overnight

Pick A Stream

Spend more time doing what you REALLY like!

Our program streams combine the very best of innovation and tradition while accommodating and appealing to both new and returning campers. This unique residential experience provides the opportunity to focus on and develop expertise in a chosen program area. All streams are available to campers of all ages and campers in each stream are grouped further according to age, ability, experience and interest.

Traditions

Traditions is for the camper who can't get enough of absolutely everything Ki-Wa-Y has to offer. This program includes lots of water activities, climbing, crafts and more. It's also ideal for a first time camper who isn't ready to choose an area in which to specialize.

Rocks & Ropes

An exhilarating challenge to beginners and experienced climbers!

Qualified instructors teach the basics of climbing: safety, equipment use and care, the mechanics of the belay system and climbing technique. Campers earn levels for each element they climb on our nine high ropes elements, and seven rock wall faces, as well as levels for different knots used for climbing.

Wind & Water

Campers at all boating levels will develop and improve canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing and snorkeling skills. After basic introductions to each boating activity, campers will choose one and further develop their skills in that area.

Canvas & Clay

This stream is designed to stimulate and enhance creativity, so budding artists will enjoy the many creative opportunities Ki-Wa-Y's outdoor environment has to offer.

Specific activities will vary depending on the interests of each group of campers, but will include some combination of landscape sketching and painting, pottery and weaving.

Survive & Thrive

Campers will learn basic, but essential survival skills for the outdoors, in a fun and safe setting. Activities include fire building, shelter building, raft building, orienteering, and fishing. Campers will get to test their skills at the end of the week in an exciting survival challenge.
