Leaders-In-Training - YMCA of Three Rivers Waterloo Region

Belwood LIT

2022 LIT Program

When you become an LIT are joining a very reputable community of leaders. You will work with staff who are committed to helping you thrive by working to develop a sense of confidence and independence; an ability to nurture caring relationships, and an abundance of transferrable skills. To help reach these goals, we will focus on learning through experiences within small groups and eventually, in the greater camp community. Participants leave our programs knowing themselves better, trusting in their abilities, and feeling inspired to make positive change in their lives long after their time at camp has ended. You will be empowered to act like a true leader by taking action any time you see a challenge in your personal life, school, or community. You will be a model of YMCA Camp Leadership- not only to your peers, but to hundreds of campers that come to camp each summer and aspire to be where you are today.

*Please be advised that all programs and dates are subject to change based on COVID-19 Provincial Guidelines.

We are busy planning to ensure that our LIT program can be a safe and fun experience for your camper. Health and safety is our primary concern this year. To that end, we have reduced the number of spaces that we normally offer to follow the current requirements of Public Health. Direction from the provincial government can and likely will change in the upcoming months and should we need to further reduce capacity, we will communicate with all families. Thank you for your support and patience during these unprecedented times.

Successful LITs will be invited to apply to become a Counsellor in Training (CIT) in 2023
